Terms & Privacy
We've kept this in plain words on purpose. If anything is unclear, message us on WhatsApp and a person will explain it. By using SalonManager, as a salon or as a booking customer, you agree to what's written here.
1. Who we are
SalonManager (salonmanager.lk) is an online booking and salon management service built and operated in Sri Lanka. You can reach us anytime on WhatsApp at +94 78 427 6493.
2. The service
Salons subscribe to SalonManager to take bookings through a QR code or link, manage their day from a dashboard, and send booking messages over WhatsApp. Booking is always free for the salon's customers. We do our best to keep the service running around the clock, but like any online service we can't promise zero interruptions.
3. Accounts, payment and trials
Plans are priced in Sri Lankan rupees and paid by bank transfer or cash. Every salon starts with a 14-day free trial with all features and no card or payment details required. If a payment is missed after the trial, there's a 7-day grace period with a reminder; after that the salon's booking page pauses until payment, but the salon's data, services and customer history are kept safe, not deleted. You can change plans or stop the subscription at any time.
4. Customer data and how it's used
When a customer books through SalonManager, we collect their name, WhatsApp number, chosen services, appointment time and preferred language. This data is used to:
- run the booking: confirmations, reminders and cancellation notices sent on WhatsApp;
- show the salon its own bookings, customer records and visit history;
- send promotional messages and offers on behalf of the salon the customer booked at, for example a discount on a quiet day, where the salon's plan includes promo broadcasts and the customer has agreed to receive offers when booking.
Promotional messages are only sent to customers who said yes to them. Every such message includes a simple, free way to opt out, and opting out never affects booking confirmations or reminders. A customer's details are only visible to the salon they booked at. We do not sell customer data, and we do not share it with other salons or advertisers. To deliver the service we use trusted providers, such as WhatsApp for messages and our hosting provider for storage, and they only handle data as needed to make SalonManager work.
For the customer data a salon collects through its booking page, the salon decides what it's for and SalonManager processes it on the salon's behalf, plus we use it to operate and protect the service itself.
5. Your rights over your data
Whether you're a salon or a booking customer, you can ask us at any time, by messaging WhatsApp +94 78 427 6493, to:
- see a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that's wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data, or withdraw a consent you gave earlier (like the offers tick);
We respond within 21 working days, as Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act requires, and usually much faster.
6. Data protection
Booking data is stored securely and backed up. We keep it while the salon's account is active so history and records stay useful; when an account closes, we delete or anonymise its customer data once there's no longer a genuine need to keep it. Salons agree to use the customer data they see lawfully and respectfully, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act: no spamming, no passing numbers to outsiders. If a data breach ever puts people at risk, we'll inform the affected salons and customers and the Data Protection Authority as the law requires.
7. Fair use
Salons are responsible for what they publish through SalonManager: service names, prices, photos and descriptions must be theirs and must be accurate. The service can't be used for anything unlawful or to message people who never booked. We may pause accounts that break these rules, and we'll always tell you why.
8. Liability
We work hard to keep SalonManager reliable, but we're a booking service, not an insurer of your business. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any problem caused by the service is limited to the subscription fees the salon paid us in the three months before the problem. Nothing here removes rights the law says can't be removed.
9. Changes, governing law and contact
If we change these terms, the date at the top of this page changes with them, and for anything significant we'll tell subscribed salons directly on WhatsApp. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
